• Business Class (Investor, Entrepreneur, & Self-Employed)

The purpose of the Business Class Immigration program to Canada is two-fold.  First, to bring capital and business acumen into Canada. Second, to have these business leaders from abroad positioned in Canada to help Canadian business access those very markets from where the business leader came from.

As well, there are three ways to enter Canada as a business immigrant and gain permanent residence status for the applicant and their family:  Federal, Provincial or Quebec streams.  

ENTREPRENEURS, INVESTORS, AND SELF-EMPLOYED PERSONS.

-Federal Investors: Should be prepared to invest $400,000 CDN into Canada and have a net worth of at least $800,000 CDN.   An exploratory trip to Canada is a good idea.  This program is based on a points system.

-Federal Entrepreneurs should have business experience, legally obtained $300,000 CDN and be prepared to gain control of a Canadian company (at least 33 1/3%), manage that company,  and create employment in Canada. -Self Employed Persons should have a minimum of two years experience and have the intention and ability to be self employed in Canada and to make a significant contribution to the specified economic activity in Canada.  Areas of self employment could be centered around athletics, cultural activities or farming in Canada.  An exploratory trip to Canada is a good idea. This program is based on a points system.

-Provincial Nominee Streams: Most provinces have their own program. These are similar to the federal program but have some differences. Please contact us for more details.

-Quebec selects its own business immigrants and then works with the Canadian Federal    government to finalize the applications.  The Quebec stream is similar to the federal programs but there are some differences.
